Depression Symptoms

Depression symptoms are easily recognisable. However, dealing with depression symptoms and overcoming depression as a disorder takes more than will power alone. On this website we'll identify all the common symptoms, the signs of depression, the types of depression, what depression is, how depression works and perhaps most importantly of all - how to recover from depression.

If you're interested mainly in performing a self-diagnosis, our depression test and symptoms of depression pages are a good place to start. If you are concerned about someone else, our signs of depression page will be helpful for clarifying the situation. Finally, if you've done your information gathering and research (for yourself or on behalf of someone else) and are looking for recovery - our depression help page should be your next step.

Depression Symptoms & Getting The Right Help...

signs of depression

If you've found this website there's a strong possibility either you or someone you know are suffering from depression. We appreciate that finding the right help can be like trying to cross a minefield. There's well meaning (but generally unhelpful) advice from loved ones, medication prescribed at the mere mention of the 'D-word', GP referrals to bureaucratic box ticking counselling and therapy and then there's the often very expensive private health care option (particularly if you have no medical insurance).

This website is designed to give you straight (and often blunt) information on how depression works, the treatments, their effectiveness and your genuine options for recovery.

The first step towards recovering from any anxiety or depression related disorder is knowledge and awareness. The more you understand about your problem, the better equipped you are to deal with it. Visiting your GP and seven minutes later leaving with a prescription in your hand isn't going to help you long term. In fact, long term anti-depressant medication will almost certainly cause you more problems than it solves. If you want to take it, that's up to you - BUT it's not going to solve your problem... ever!

Depression Recovery - How To Get The Ball Rolling...

depression recovery

There is plenty of clear, direct and original information on this website. In terms of creating a foundation of understanding with respect to your depression - you'll find it here. However, although understanding how depression works is an important part of recovery, it's rarely enough on its own.

What you need is specialised help. When we say specialised help we're not talking about the seven minutes you get from your GP (a 'general' practitioner). We are referring to working with someone that specialises specifically in anxiety and depression. You need someone that understands how your problem works and possesses the tools and expertise to help you overcome it.

We run a specialised Clinic in North Staffordshire... and before you make any assumptions, just hear us out. Although we're physically located in Staffordshire and do work face to face with many of our clients, we also offer Telephone and Online Consultations meaning that we can work with you anywhere in the UK. So there are no restrictions on us working together with respect to distance.

The next concern is probably cost. Our fees are very, very reasonable even for someone on the most modest of incomes. Our Telephone and Online Conultations cost just £69.00 for a 60 minute session. Our Face To Face Consultations cost £95.00 but are longer at 90 minutes in duration. So, as we said earlier... our fees are reasonable - right?

What about credibility or some sort of guarantee? Reasonable as our fees are we don't want our clients to have to run any financial risk. This is why we invite you to book a Risk Free Initial Consultation (either Online, by Telephone or Face To Face). Speak to us, tell us how depression affects you, ask all your questions and we'll explain how we can help you. If for any reason you're not convinced and don't want to continue working with us - you owe us nothing... not a single penny. That's our no quibble guarantee.

Information on Online/Phone Consultations (Nationwide)

Information on Face To Face Consultations (Staffordshire)

Getting the ball rolling is simple - just call us and ask to speak to one of our Consultants. If you've ever tried to speak to an NHS Doctor or Consultant by phone you'll no doubt be aware that they have administrators and secretaries who do their best to block your path. We understand that admin staff and secretaries are generally unable to help you, whilst at the same time keeping you away from the very person you need to speak to. We don't work that way. At our Clinic we ensure you have access to the people that can help.

If your Consultant is busy with another client when you call, they can be messaged and will return your call as soon as possible. This is our standard of care to you.

Our contact number is 01782 855585 and you can reach us from 11am to 9pm (seven days). If you're ready to recover - we're ready to help you.
